La Ronde, owned by the entertainment giant Six Flags since 2001, is the largest amusement park in Quebec and the second-largest seasonal amusement park in North America.
Nestled on Île Sainte-Hélène in Parc Jean-Drapeau, in the middle of the majestic St. Lawrence River, this park offers a breathtaking view of the city of Montreal.
Since its opening in 1967 for the World Expo, La Ronde has evolved into a popular tourist destination for visitors in Montreal.
The La Ronde tickets or passports must be purchased online, on the La Ronde website. There are no ticket sales at the park entrance, so planning ahead is necessary.
Admission is free for children under 2.

Secondly, opening hours can vary according to the time of year and events. Typically, the park is open from around 10:30 AM until 8 PM or later during the summer, especially on evenings with fireworks.
Before going on a ride, it is important to check the minimum height requirement. If the person is too short, they will not be allowed to go on the ride.
La Ronde’s most famous attraction is Le Monstre. This is one of the world’s tallest wooden roller coasters, offering a memorable adrenalin rush.
The Goliath ride, another roller coaster, is located at the far end of the park. It’s made of steel, and the train propels its passengers at 170 km/h, with a force of 4G!
The Titan is a merry-go-round that resembles a giant pendulum! It turns, rises and falls up to 45 metres in the air, at a speed of 112 km/.
The Ednör is another roller-coaster style, with the passengers suspended from above, feet dangling in the air.
The classic Boomerang starts by moving backwards, and when it’s gone far enough, the train is released to be projected forward… and then backwards!
After that, the most popular and beloved rides are the Vampire, the Nordic Toboggan and the Dragon .

Numerous restaurants are available to visitors. The traditional and delicious BeaverTails are available, along with Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and American cuisine.
One of the best restaurants is Rolopan, near the Ednor, which serves delicious sweet and savoury pancakes. Another is Sabra, with its charcoal grills.
Since 2019, La Ronde Montreal has been partnered with the Coca-Cola Company. So you’ll only see this this brand of beverages throughout the park, such as Dasani water bottles, Sprite, Nestea, Minute Maid, Fanta, Icee, etc.
Filling stations are located at the main entrance and at Fort Edmonton.
Welch’s offers a variety of products at La Ronde Montreal, including Welch’s fruit juices, smoothies and ice cream.
Please note that food from outside the park, beverages and coolers are not permitted at La Ronde.
La Ronde can be reached via two metro stations.
Bus 767 departs from Jean-Drapeau station for the entrance to La Ronde.Bus 769 picks up visitors at Papineau station and drops them off at La Ronde.
By car, head for the Jacques-Cartier bridge, take the Parc Jean-Drapeau exit and follow the signs for parking P8.

There are 37 rides at La Ronde, ranging from a quiet ride suitable for young children to the most extreme thrills for grown-ups!

La Ronde usually opens on the third Saturday in May, during the Patriotes Day long weekend.
In 2025, La Ronde opens on May 17.
La Ronde is usually open until the last Sunday in October. For example, La Ronde will close on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
La Ronde accepts purchases by debit card, credit card as well as via smartphone, thanks to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
There are also several cash-for-prepaid-debit card kiosks throughout the park. This prepaid debit card can also be used to pay for purchases outside the park, free of charge.
Some rides must be closed during thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain or strong winds. However, the vast majority of restaurants and stores remain open.
Then the rides can reopen as soon as everything is safe.
La Ronde is for everyone! However, check the height requirements for entry to the rides before you visit.
Admission is free for the entire season for children under the age of 3, if they are of that age on the day that La Ronde opens. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
